Chiltern Way Academy – Wokingham Campus is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Staff and regular volunteers are appointed in line with our selection and recruitment policy which includes checks on suitability, including Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
Visitors to the school are expected to sign in at reception and to read our Safeguarding Leaflet (see below) which is given to them on arrival. They are then supervised whilst on site.
We expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share our commitment and understand their responsibilities in keeping our pupils safe.

If you wish to report a student absence this can be done by calling the Wokingham Campus office on 01296 622157, alternatively you can email: adminwok@chilternway.org
Parents or carers are requested to notify the school before 08:45am each day their child is absent. Where a student does not register for a morning session and there is no explanation for that absence, the Attendance Officer will contact parents or carers to inform them of this.
Medical and dental appointments should not be made during the school day unless absolutely necessary, in which case an email or a signed letter from the parent or carer is required. In addition, students must sign in and out at reception.
