Primary Curriculum:

At Wokingham Campus we combine a deep understanding of our students’ needs with high-quality Enquiry Based teaching and learning, and a broad and balanced curriculum which is underpinned by 21st Century Learning Skills.

Our Primary Phase Curriculum is made up of four key areas:

primary1Our Primary Core curriculum is based on our students individual abilities and potential, we aim to deliver our range of subjects at National Curriculum level.

Our Primary phase students engage in a creative, multi-sensory and thematic approach to learning that allows children's natural creativity and curiosity to flourish, alongside the purposeful acquisition of skills and knowledge.

Primary2Our Primary Vocational curriculum enables students to acquire knowledge and skills related to a specific trade, occupation or vocation. As a school we focus on developing employability skills throughout the year and each primary class is named after a chosen occupation; students learn about the occupation and what skills are required.

Primary3Our Personal Development curriculum centres around developing each students’ character to gain understanding, knowledge and skills to lead healthy, independent lives thus becoming informed active and responsible citizens.

Primary4Our Support curriculum is guided and planned by our Multidisciplinary Team (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and our Specific Learning Difficulty, Regulation and SWAM Teams). Support is delivered at Universal, Targeted and Specialist levels, depending on the needs of individual students.
