We believe that our students should look smart and professional. They will take pride in their appearance and in their Academy. Wearing of the uniform will be enforced and we ask parents/carers for their complete support.

The list below is intended to help parents/carers know what is permitted in the Academy and what is not. If ever parents/carers are in any doubt about items relating to the Academy dress policy – please telephone and clarify the query before purchasing.

 

ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE PUPIL'S NAME AND AS NOTED IN THE HOME-SCHOOL AGREEMENT, PARENTS/CARERS SHOULD ENSURE ALL PERSONAL POSSESSIONS ARE COVERED BY “ALL RISKS” INSURANCE.

 

Correct uniform must be worn at all times.

Sun hat/cap – To be removed in buildings

Appropriate sunglasses – To be removed in buildings

One Plain/Single colour waterproof coat – To be removed in buildings.
Hair, make up and jewellery Dress Code
Hair should be a presentable style avoiding extremes of fashion or colour

Hair extensions must be natural in colour

Long hair must be tied back during practical lessons for health and safety reasons

Religious headwear must be plain black or white

Makeup is not allowed for students in Yr7-9. Students in Yr10-14 may wear subtle makeup.

Nail extensions are not allowed

Only one small plain stud allowed in piercings

No surface piercings e.g., eyebrow

For safety, no jewellery other than a wristwatch e.g., bracelets/ necklaces.

Non-Uniform Days
Plain jeans/tracksuit bottoms – Single colour, no large rips/tears

No rude, inappropriate or offensive clothing

No ill-fitting clothing or significantly exposed skin e.g., hot pants, loose skirts, tight fitting or revealing tops
