Turning Futures Around

Post 16:

Chiltern Way Academy Trust, Wendover, are proud to announce that we have opened a Post 16 provision in September 2020. Following on from the success of the Post 16 model at the Prestwood Campus, this fantastic opportunity allows our students to grow and develop further with familiar surroundings whilst gaining more independence within their learning.

Whilst at the Sixth Form students can undertake a range of optional subjects such as mechanics, construction, hospitality and sports leaders for the two-year duration to prepare them for their future careers. Students are also required to continue to develop key numeracy, literacy and life skills to support them in the future.

They have their own dedicated area of the school with a classroom, social area, kitchen and individual study spaces. Students are asked to take on responsibilities around the school and act as role models for younger students.

They follow the same timetable as the rest of the school but have a bespoke curriculum and more opportunities to develop independence, such as preparing their own breakfast in the morning.

If you have any questions regarding post 16 provision at Wendover then please contact Lee Beagle, Assistant Head, at lbeagle@chilternway.org.
