Bucks Pay Range 2 £18,703-£21,008

37 hours a week, pro-rata for 39 weeks a year

(actual £15,862 - £17,816)

 

The Chiltern Way Academy (CWA) is a cutting edge and transformational Special Needs school for students with Social, Emotional, Communication and Interaction Difficulties (SECID). Our Prestwood campus works with students on the Autistic spectrum and our Wendover campus works with students with a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

We need an enthusiastic and self-motivated Science Technician, with excellent interpersonal and time management skills, to maintain and develop all aspects of practical science across the Wendover campus. Training opportunities may be available to further develop the skills of the successful candidate.

You will work under the direction of the Deputy Head and Science Teacher to:

 

  • Assist in meeting the needs of the practical curriculum by preparing resources, constructing and modifying apparatus and carrying out appropriate safety checks
  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations and experiments for students
  • Plan a weekly workload autonomously
