Turning Futures Around

Prestwood Campus

Acting Head of Campus - Sarah Stevens

A very warm welcome to Chiltern Way Academy Prestwood.

The Prestwood campus is our National Autistic Accredited specialist provision supporting the complex needs of 70 students with Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s) with a Primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Our aim is to help each student to become independent and employable young adults. We accept and celebrate the unique identities of our students encouraging them to respect and value each other for who they are and what they can achieve, both individuals and as a valued member of society.

Our curriculum is designed with a focus on emotional regulation, literacy, numeracy, life and independent living skills to provide a foundation for independence and employability. Alongside these core areas students are also given the opportunity to develop both academic knowledge and vocational expertise to ensure they are well prepared for life after school.

We work to ensure that our leavers, from year 11 to year 13, emerge as confident, independent individuals who are equipped with the competencies, skills and strategies to take the next steps on their journey whether this be further education, apprenticeships or directly into employment.
